Emanuela was born and grew up in Italy, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and a mix of ancient and modern architecture. She has been living in Farnham, Surrey, since 2000 and since then she has discovered a lifelong passion for English gardens.
In 2012 she retrained at the prestigious London College of Garden Design, Kew Gardens, achieving the highly regarded Postgraduate Diploma in Garden Design with Distinction.
In her previous career as an international communication specialist, first as an interpreter and, later, as an MA lecturer at Leeds University, Emanuela learnt that the abitity to listen is key to all successful relationships. In her work as a designer this set of communication skills helps her to create and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with her clients.
Since graduating Emanuela has worked on private commissions at both the RHS Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court Flower Shows on behalf of private clients, helping them to achieve many awards, including one Best Trade Stand Chelsea Flower Show Award in May 2014. Her passion for plants is also reflected in her ongoing work at RHS Wisley Garden.
Emanuela joined the Society of Garden Designers in 2012.
