After completing a Masters degree in Furniture Design, Jon moved into the world of Interior Architecture and has since developed a successful design practice working on wide-ranging projects, mostly in the exhibition venue sector.

He has always been a keen gardener and in 2012 he decided to take advantage of the recession and use the down time to add to his skill set and study garden design at London College of Garden Design. After graduating with distinction he went on to win the SGD Student Award in 2012 and was shortlisted again in 2013 for both the Student Award and the Paper Landscape award.

In 2013 working with charity Cityscapes Jon produced a Chelsea Remix Garden at OXO Tower using recycled parts of Wilson McWilliams 2013 Cloudy Bay Garden. Following this he designed a display for Just Airplants at RHS Shades of Autumn Show that was ‘Commended’ by the RHS.

In 2015 Jon won the Jacksons Fencing competition to design a show garden for them at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. The garden was awarded a ‘Silver Gilt’ and during its design and construction he worked alongside Emanuela, which lead to the formation of Alladio Sims Design.
